July Silent Film Showing: "A Story of Floating Weeds"
Silent film showings in the Chicagoland area have been greatly curtailed since organist Jay Warren's passing earlier this year. But there are still a few coming up! Saturday, July 5 at 11:30am the Music Box Theater in Chicago will be screening A Story of Floating Weeds (1934), directed by Yasujirō Ozu. The film will be musically accompanied by the MIYUMI Project Japanese Experimental Ensemble, a hybrid avant-garde jazz/traditional Japanese group.

More information can be found on the Music Box Theater's website.
